Fourth and Fifth grade GT students created a Dream Team Talk Show in Puppet Pals 2. Unfortunately there is a glitch in the Puppet Pal 2 app and some of the Dream Team Talk Shows have no sound when placed on the camera roll. We were thinking out of the box and decided to record while presenting. Come back soon if you do not see your child's video.

In 4th and 5th grade we started our year off with a very important Social Emotional Activity. After watching the video Science of Character, we researched and prioritized character traits that are important to each of us to be a well rounded member of society. Each student researched famous people and created a dream team of four that emulate those important characteristics unique to each of us. We are all in different stages of script development. Our goal is to be ready to use Puppet Pals 2 Education Pack to create our talk show this week. Come back soon to see the final products.
Many thanks to Terri Eichholz at Engage Their Minds blog for this wonderful idea. Dear Parents,
I want to make sure my students have the materials they need to succeed, so I just created a request for my classroom at DonorsChoose.org: Wanted: Technology We are just $258 dollars away from our target goal! Even a donation of $5 will help so much! Give to my classroom by October 17, 2015 and your donation will be doubled thanks to DonorsChoose.org. Just enter the code SPARK on the payment page and you'll be matched dollar for dollar (up to $100). If you chip in to help my students, you'll get awesome photos and our heartfelt thanks. I would like to thank the following families for their support: The Byrd family The Delbert family The Morrison (Vasquez) Family The Peterson Family Michael Ihekoronye The Meyer Family The White Family Laura Dozier The Lowery Family Kind Regards, Saundra Pletka GT Facilitator Austin, Jackson and Pink Elementary http://austingiftedprogram.weebly.com/ In grades 1-3, we created a word cloud from ABCYA.com with all of the traits that we show to others and then we placed them on our shirt. They are so very cute and I can not wait to display them. Each week after our study of a powerful person we are going to gather traits and create a word cloud to display.
